Vacation in Terengganu

This is first time I pass through state border after SPM. I visited Terengganu with my sister. Although, a trip was without planning, I feel happy. The our aim to Terengganu, visit Taman Tamadun Islam (Islamic Civilization Park) that was built at Pulau Wan Man. At the same time, Terengganu Government organized Visit Terengganu 2008.

Entrance of Terengganu at Kelantan-Terengganu border

We went to Terengganu on 8 February after solat Jumaat. We went to Terengganu through beachside road. On Sultan Mahmud Bridge, we can see Masjid Kristal (Crystal Mosque) that beautiful. There had traffic jam at Kuala Terengganu. Therefore, I reached at my eldest brother at Merchang, Marang (40 kilometers from south Kuala Terengganu) in night. At the same time, Yang Dipertuan Agong, inaugurate Masjid Kristal.

The location of Pulau Wan Man

On 9 February, we went to Kuala Terengganu to visit Pulau Wan Man. This was last day for Perkampungan Hadhari. To go to Pulau Wan Man, we had to go to Seberang Takir jetty to board the boat. The fare is free as Terengganu government pay it in the last day. At jetty, I remember the scene of P. Ramlee movie, Pendekar Bujang Lapok, to board sampan.

At the jetty of Pulau Wan Man, we saw promotion of local animation, "Kacang". Then we bought many things at Perkampungan Hadhari.

We went to replica of mosque over the World. What I not satisfied, not all replicas were opened to public because many of replicas not done yet. However, it free of charge to see replicas and this is last day to see replicas without pay. Replicas that can we see were mosque from China, mosque from Indonesia, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque (Brunei), Pattani Mosque (Thailand), Taj Mahal, Al-Aqsa mosque and mosque in Pakistan.

Then, we visited to Masjid Kristal. The design of Masjid Kristal was likely to crystal and very beautiful. The weather is very hot. I solat Zohor in this mosque. In this mosque, I felt cool as the mosque was equipped by air-conditioner. The design in the mosque also beautiful and convenient.

Inside Masjid Kristal

Fuhh, my legs were pain because the park was large. Therefore, we satisfied. I hope I will visit Taman Tamadun Islam next time.

Creating the graphic with GIMP

This is my artwork that is created by GIMP. The GIMP is acronym of GNU Image Manipulation Program. This application is alternative to Adobe Photoshop. This is because, Adobe Photoshop make my computer sluggish because my computer is below system requirement. Therefore, I use GIMP because it is light and open-source program. However, I should learn to use GIMP. The easy way to learn this program is open the tutorial page.

The graphic above is created by me with GIMP. It takes one hour to complete this graphic. This is because I is incompetent to use this program. I always open to tutorial website to follow its method. Five graphics are created by me with GIMP right now.
